What Should I Expect On My First Visit?

When you first arrive at our clinic, you will either turn in or fill out your new patient paperwork. Don’t forget to bring your prescription and any other operative/x-ray/MRI results you have in regards to the injury we will be treating you for. Your physical therapist will then ask you a series of questions regarding your past and present medical conditions. The therapist will then thoroughly evaluate your present condition or injury by assessing things such as range of motion, pain and tenderness, strength, and function. Using a combination of your doctor’s diagnosis, the therapist’s prognosis, and your own, personal goals, your therapist will create and begin to carry out a treatment plan specifically tailored to your needs. The treatment plan typically includes a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
