This dynamic flowing class introduces the basic techniques on the Mat, Reformer and Redcord. In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of Pilates and gain an understanding of the Pilates method and its benefits. You will learn how to strengthen your core, improve your coordination, flexibility, agility and be able to focus on body awareness which can be incorporated into everything you do in daily life.
Redcord and auxiliary exercises will be included in each class for additional challenges, alignment, variety and fun. Redcord suspension exercises are used for anyone who would like to correct muscle imbalances and improve daily function. The exercises performed on Redcord are used by the general public, therapists, and athletes worldwide for rehabilitation, functional activity, injury prevention and performance training.
Biography: Alison completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Sports Science and Masters Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration at Concordia University in Irvine. She recently finished the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Cerritos College and practices PT at Evolve. She has run over a dozen half marathons and one full marathon, where she qualified for the renown Boston Marathon. She absolutely loves teaching Pilates Reformer classes and hopes to help others improve their quality of life through increasing their fitness, preventing injuries and helping them feel more confident and strong!
